Thank you for using IP Compass ("the App"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
IP Compass does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. The App's sole purpose is to display your public and local IP address directly on your desktop. This process happens entirely on your local machine.
To determine your public IP address, the App makes a secure network request to a public IP-fetching API service. This is a standard HTTP request to retrieve the data necessary for the widget to function. We do not track or log these requests.
The App relies on third-party APIs (such as ipify or similar services) to fetch your public IP. These services may log your IP address in accordance with their own privacy policies for rate-limiting and security purposes. We do not share any additional data with them.
The App may store your basic UI preferences (such as window position or theme settings) locally on your device using standard application storage. This data never leaves your device.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
